Pringle is a tiny community of about 200 people in southwestern South Dakota's Custer County. Located along Highway 18, it's 15 miles south of Custer and 25 miles northwest of Hot Springs. Most visitors arrive via Highway 18 or connect from US Highway 385 about 10 miles east. The town sits in the Black Hills foothills with a mix of prairie and pine-covered hills. Pringle maintains its own post office that serves the surrounding ranch country.
