Prichard is a residential city in Mobile County, about 10 miles northwest of downtown Mobile. Take I-65 Exit 13 or use US Highway 43 to reach the city center. Most visitors drive down I-65 from Birmingham or up from New Orleans, while locals use US 43 for quick trips to Mobile. The historic Blount Cultural Park preserves an 1850s plantation house that now celebrates local African American heritage.
