Poulan is a small farming town in south-central Georgia, connected by US Highway 82 running east-west and State Route 33 heading north-south. Most visitors come via US 82 from Tifton or Albany, while locals use Route 33 for regional trips. The town sits amid Georgia's agricultural heartland of pecan groves and farmland. Poulan's historic downtown preserves several early 1900s buildings from its days as a railroad depot on the old Georgia Southern and Florida Railway.
