Potwin is a small farming town of about 500 people in Butler County, 25 miles northeast of Wichita via US Highway 54. Most visitors arrive from Wichita or take I-35 to the Kansas Turnpike, exit at El Dorado, then drive southwest on US 54. The restored 1920s grain elevator serves as a prominent landmark visible across the prairie.
