Pottsboro is a lakeside town of 2,700 people on Lake Texoma, right at the Texas-Oklahoma border. Take US 75 north from Dallas to Sherman, then US 82 east about 20 miles to reach town. The area's known for excellent striped bass fishing and water sports, drawing weekend crowds from the Dallas metro area. Every Fourth of July, Pottsboro hosts one of North Texas's biggest fireworks shows over the lake.
