Post Falls sits on I-90 just 20 miles east of Spokane, making it an easy stop for cross-country travelers or a quick day trip from Washington. The city straddles the Spokane River in Idaho's scenic panhandle, connected to nearby Coeur d'Alene by Highway 41. Named after Frederick Post's 1871 sawmill, the town still showcases the 40-foot waterfall that powered its original industry.
