Port Deposit is a tiny riverside town of under 500 people along the Susquehanna River in northeastern Maryland. Take I-95 to Exit 93, then Route 222 east to reach this scenic community about 45 miles from Baltimore and 60 miles from Philadelphia. The town sits where the Susquehanna meets the northern Chesapeake Bay, surrounded by rolling farmland and dramatic granite cliffs. Its 19th-century buildings were built from stone quarried right from those towering riverside cliffs.
