Port Arthur sits on the Texas Gulf Coast about 90 miles east of Houston via I-10, where major refineries dominate the flat coastal landscape. The city connects to Beaumont (20 miles north) on US 69 and to Louisiana via I-10 east. Jack Brooks Regional Airport is 10 miles northwest of downtown. Port Arthur houses the largest oil refinery in America, processing over 600,000 barrels daily.
