Pope is a tiny Mississippi Delta town of 413 people, about 30 miles southeast of Memphis via I-55 and Highway 35. It's surrounded by farmland and sits near the headwaters of the famous Tallahatchie River from "Ode to Billie Joe." Most visitors pass through on Highway 35 between Sardis and Batesville.
