Poolesville is a small farming town in Montgomery County, about 25 miles northwest of DC via Route 107 and I-270. The area's rolling countryside supports local farms and vineyards near the Potomac River border with Virginia. White's Ferry, operating since 1828, remains one of the oldest continuously running ferries in America, carrying cars and passengers across the Potomac to Virginia.
