Pollock is a small Grant Parish town of 460 people along US Highway 165 in central Louisiana. It's a convenient stop between Alexandria and Monroe, about 30 minutes north of Alexandria through pine forest country. The area features typical Louisiana terrain with mixed woods and small farms under a humid subtropical climate. Esler Regional Airport sits just southeast of town, a former World War II Army airfield.
