Plevna is a small farming town in south-central Kansas, about 20 miles southwest of Hutchinson via US Highway 50. Most visitors arrive from Hutchinson or Wichita using Highway 50 as the main corridor. The town sits on typical Great Plains prairie with hot summers and cold winters. Its red brick grain elevator serves as a prominent landmark visible for miles across the flat countryside.
