Pleasure Bend is a tiny riverside community of about 200 people along the Mississippi River, 25 miles west of New Orleans in St. John the Baptist Parish. Take I-10 to the Gramercy exit, then Highway 3213 south, or follow the scenic River Road (Highway 18) that hugs the Mississippi's east bank through sugarcane country. The town sits on a distinctive horseshoe curve where the great river bends dramatically between Baton Rouge and New Orleans.
