Pleasanton is a small Kansas town of about 1,500 people located 60 miles south of Kansas City along US Highway 69. The main routes are US 69 running north-south and Highway 52 going east-west to Fort Scott. Most visitors come from Kansas City via the straightforward US 69 corridor through rolling farmland. The 1899 Linn County Courthouse with its red brick and limestone architecture anchors the historic downtown square.
