Pleasanton is a tiny farming town in south-central Iowa, reached via US Highway 69 from Des Moines (about 60 miles south) or Kansas City (90 minutes north). The surrounding Decatur County countryside features rolling prairie and creek valleys. The town's 1885 one-room schoolhouse still stands on Main Street.
