Pleasant Ridge is a tiny residential city in Oakland County, just north of Detroit along the famous Woodward Avenue corridor. Reach it via I-696 to Woodward Avenue or drive straight north from downtown Detroit on M-1. At just 1.2 square miles with 2,600 residents, it holds the distinction of being Michigan's smallest incorporated city by area.
