Plattville is a tiny farming community in Kendall County, about 50 miles southwest of Chicago via I-55 and county roads. Most visitors come through Joliet, taking Lorenzo Road west into the agricultural countryside. The village of 225 people sits along County Highway 6, surrounded by corn and soybean fields. It still has its own post office from its days as a railroad stop.
