Plantersville is a small Texas town of under 600 people located about 60 miles northwest of Houston via Highway 105. The drive takes roughly an hour through East Texas piney woods and farmland. Highway 105 connects to Conroe and Navasota, while Highway 1774 runs north-south through town toward Huntsville. The community hosts the massive Texas Renaissance Festival each fall, one of America's largest medieval-themed events.
