Plantation is a small city of about 1,000 people in Jefferson County, just southwest of Louisville. Take I-264 west from downtown Louisville and exit at Dixie Highway for the quickest route. Louisville's airport sits about 12 miles northeast via I-264. Despite being surrounded by suburban development, Plantation has maintained its residential character through strict zoning that keeps out most commercial businesses.
