Plainfield is a tiny farming village in Coshocton County, about 15 miles southeast of Coshocton via State Route 83. The main routes are SR 83 north-south and connections to State Route 16 for east-west travel. Most traffic is local agricultural business, with longer trips heading to Coshocton or Columbus about 80 miles southwest. The grain elevators along the main road serve the surrounding corn and soybean operations.
