Pitts is a small farming town of 327 people in south-central Georgia, about 30 miles southeast of Cordele via US Highway 280. Most visitors arrive from Interstate 75 through Cordele, then take US 280 east. The town sits in rolling agricultural country known for cotton and peanut production. You can still see the old Central of Georgia Railway bed running alongside the main street.
