Pioneer is a small farming town in northeast Louisiana's West Carroll Parish, surrounded by cotton and soybean fields in the Mississippi delta. Take I-20 to Exit 171 near Tallulah, then drive north 15 miles on Highway 65 to reach it. The town sits 45 miles from Monroe and connects regionally via Highway 65 and Highway 80. Pioneer preserves a restored 1925 one-room schoolhouse that now serves as the community center.
