Pingree is a tiny farming town of 61 people in central North Dakota, reached via Highway 20 from Jamestown, about 25 miles southwest. Most visitors come from Jamestown for the 30-minute drive, while longer routes connect through Fargo via I-94 or from Grand Forks via Highway 281. The town's grain elevator towers over the surrounding wheat fields, visible for miles across the flat prairie landscape.
