Pine Prairie is a small farming town in Louisiana's Evangeline Parish, about 30 miles northwest of Lafayette via US Highway 13. The main route connects south to Interstate 10 near Crowley or north toward Ville Platte, with State Highway 95 providing east-west access. Set in Acadiana's rice and cattle country, the community of under 1,000 residents celebrates its Cajun heritage each fall with the annual Sauce Piquante Festival.
