Pima is a small farming town in southeastern Arizona's Gila River Valley, about 30 miles from the New Mexico border. Most visitors arrive on US Highway 70, the main east-west route through Graham County. From Tucson, it's a scenic 120-mile drive north on US 191 through Coronado National Forest, then east on US 70. The town sits at 2,900 feet elevation and serves as the gateway to Mount Graham International Observatory, home to advanced telescopes at 10,700 feet.
