Pilot Grove is a small farming town in central Missouri, accessible via Highway 135 about 20 miles from both Boonville and Sedalia. Most visitors arrive from I-70 through Boonville or from US 50 near Sedalia. The town was named for a grove of trees that served as a prairie landmark for early settlers, with parts of the original grove still visible today.
