Pierce is a small farming town in northeastern Nebraska that serves as the Pierce County seat. Located about two hours northwest of Omaha via Highway 275 and Highway 81, it sits at the intersection of state highways 81 and 98. The town of roughly 1,900 people experiences typical Great Plains weather and is surrounded by corn and soybean fields. The historic Pierce County Courthouse from the 1880s still anchors the original town square.
