Pierce is a tiny logging town in Idaho's forested hills, about 60 miles northeast of Lewiston via US Highway 12 and State Highway 11. The winding mountain drive passes through dense timber country with few services, so EV drivers should charge up in Lewiston first. This remote community of 360 people sits at 3,100 feet elevation in Clearwater County, where it was Idaho's first gold rush town after the 1860 discovery in Canal Gulch.
