Pickensville is a small Alabama town of 800 people in Pickens County, about an hour southwest of Tuscaloosa via Highway 69 south to Highway 17 west. The main route from Birmingham takes I-20 west to Highway 69 south. Highway 17 runs right through town, connecting to Carrollton and Demopolis. What's unusual is that George Downer Airport sits right in the city limits, so you can actually fly directly into town.
