Phoenixville sits about 30 miles northwest of Philadelphia along the Schuylkill River in Chester County. Route 23 is the main east-west artery through downtown, connecting to I-76 for Philadelphia access. Route 113 runs north-south, while Route 29 follows the river. The restored Colonial Theatre downtown famously appeared in the 1958 horror movie "The Blob."
