Philo is a small village in southeastern Ohio's Muskingum County, about 15 miles southeast of Zanesville via State Route 60. The main route connects north to Interstate 70 for longer trips to Columbus or Wheeling. With 683 residents, it sits in the rolling Appalachian foothills typical of this part of Ohio. State Route 60 doubles as the village's main street.
