Phil Campbell is a small Franklin County town of about 780 people in northwest Alabama's hill country, 20 miles from the Tennessee border. Highway 13 runs north-south through town, connecting to Haleyville (15 miles south) and continuing to Tennessee. County roads provide east-west access to US Highway 43 near Russellville. The town famously shares its name with a former MLB player and once hosted a worldwide reunion of people named Phil Campbell.
