Phenix is a small Virginia town in Charlotte County, about 60 miles southwest of Richmond along US Route 15. The main access is via US-360 west from Richmond to US-15 south, or directly on US-15 from Washington D.C. or North Carolina. Local travel uses State Route 40 for connections to nearby Keysville. The town is home to Hampden-Sydney College's Venable Observatory, featuring one of Virginia's largest public telescopes.
