Pflugerville is a fast-growing Austin suburb in Travis County, home to about 66,000 people. Located northeast of downtown Austin, it's easily reached via Interstate 35, with State Highway 130 running along the eastern edge and FM 1825 cutting through the center. Most visitors drive up I-35 from Austin, about 15 miles south, while Highway 45 provides east-west connections. The city celebrates its German heritage each May with Deutschen Pfest, featuring authentic food, music, and the crowning of the Sauerkraut Queen.
