Perry is a small city of 7,000 people in Florida's Big Bend region, about 50 miles southeast of Tallahassee. US Highway 19 runs north-south through town connecting to the state capital, while US 98 heads east-west toward the Gulf Coast. The city serves as Taylor County's seat and sits amid extensive forest lands. It's home to the Forest Capital Museum State Park, housed in a restored 1920s railroad depot.
