Perla is a tiny Arkansas community of 141 people in Hot Spring County, accessible via I-30 west from Little Rock then Highway 7 south. Most visitors are heading to nearby Hot Springs National Park or passing through on scenic Highway 7. The rolling pine forest terrain experiences hot, humid summers and mild winters typical of central Arkansas. The local post office has operated since 1898 and serves as an informal community gathering spot.
