Perkins is a small farming town in north-central Oklahoma, 15 miles northeast of Stillwater via US Highway 177. The main routes are Highway 177 running north-south and State Highway 33 going east-west through town. Most traffic consists of locals commuting to Stillwater or longer trips connecting through Guthrie to reach Interstate 35 and Oklahoma City. The town's most recognizable landmark is its historic 1918 grain elevator that dominates the skyline.
