Peralta is a small Rio Grande Valley community about 20 miles south of Albuquerque, reached via I-25 south to Exit 215, then Highway 47. This scenic route follows the historic Camino Real trade path through agricultural land with mountain views. The town of 3,400 preserves several 1800s adobe buildings along its main street, named for colonial governor Pedro Sánchez de Peralta.
