Pentwater is a small Lake Michigan resort town in western Michigan, about 90 miles from Grand Rapids via US-131 and M-37. Popular with Chicago visitors who drive up US-31, it offers sandy beaches and a working lighthouse. The historic red lighthouse at the pier's end has guided boats into the harbor since 1937.
