Penfield is a tiny community of 379 people in central Pennsylvania's Clearfield County, accessible via State Route 255 from DuBois (15 miles south) or I-80 at Clearfield. The forested Allegheny Plateau setting offers scenic mountain drives, especially during fall foliage season. The town preserves its historic one-room schoolhouse from 1887.
