Pelzer is a small mill town along the Saluda River, about 20 miles northwest of Greenville via Highway 8 and Interstate 85. Highway 8 connects it directly to Anderson and Greenville, while Highway 20 provides access from mountain communities to the north. The restored 1925 Pelzer Auditorium still shows its original Art Deco details from the town's textile heyday.
