Peever is a tiny farming town of 145 people in far northeast South Dakota, near the Minnesota border. You'll reach it via US Highway 12 from Aberdeen (60 miles) or by taking I-29 north from Sioux Falls then heading west on US 12. The town sits on rolling prairie where agriculture dominates the landscape. Peever gets its name from the local creek that flows toward the Minnesota River.
