Pecatonica is a small river town in northern Illinois, about 15 miles southwest of Rockford along the Pecatonica River. Route 70 runs right through town and connects to US 20 for trips to Rockford or cross-country travel. The restored 1890s Sumner House mansion serves as a local history museum.
