Peak is a tiny rural community in Newberry County, about 45 miles northwest of Columbia via I-26 and SC-391. With just over 100 residents, it sits on high ground between Newberry and Prosperity, connected by quiet country roads. The town earned its name from being located on one of the highest elevations in the county, providing scenic views across the surrounding Piedmont farmland.
