Peak Place is a small mountain community about 12 miles northeast of Santa Fe via US-285, sitting at 7,200 feet in the Sangre de Cristo foothills. From Albuquerque, it's a 90-minute drive north through Santa Fe. The high desert setting brings cool summers and snowy winters with dramatic daily temperature swings. The community got its name from a prominent peak to the east that locals use as a landmark for directions.
