Peachland is a tiny town of about 440 people in Anson County, roughly 45 miles southeast of Charlotte via US-74 East and NC-109 South. The area features rolling countryside typical of the Carolina Piedmont, with pine forests and former agricultural lands. NC-109 serves as the main road through town, connecting north to Mount Gilead and south to Wadesboro. The community got its name from peach orchards that once thrived in the region's sandy soils.
