Pawhuska is the Osage County seat in north-central Oklahoma, about 60 miles northwest of Tulsa via Highway 20 west and Highway 99 north. From Oklahoma City, take I-35 north to Stillwater, then Highway 51 west to Highway 99 north. The town sits on rolling prairie and limestone hills, with US Highway 60 as the main east-west route and Highway 11 running north-south. Pawhuska is famous as the filming location for "The Pioneer Woman," and Ree Drummond's Mercantile store has become a major tourist draw on the restored main street.
