Pascagoula sits where the Pascagoula River meets the Gulf Coast, about 25 miles from Mobile via I-10. The city centers around shipbuilding, with the massive Ingalls facility dominating the riverfront where Navy destroyers are built. Highway 90 runs along the coast while Highway 63 heads north inland. You can actually watch billion-dollar warships under construction from the public road.
