Parks is a tiny Louisiana community southwest of Lafayette, reachable via I-10 Exit 109 to Highway 347 south. Most locals commute north to Lafayette for work, about 20 minutes away. The flat, humid landscape sits near the Atchafalaya Basin among sugarcane fields and wetlands. This small town was the birthplace of Dudley LeBlanc, the colorful politician who created the famous patent medicine Hadacol.
