Parker is a small farming town in southeastern South Dakota, about 45 minutes north of Sioux Falls via Interstate 29 and Highway 19. The community of 1,280 sits in the Big Sioux River valley among corn and soybean fields. Most visitors arrive from I-29 at Exit 73, though you can also reach it from Brookings via Highway 19. The town's massive concrete grain elevator towers over the prairie, visible for miles as you approach.
